Maternity Support Programs in Belarus

The majority of developed and developing countries introduce measures to stimulate fertility and support parenthood. Maternity leave, child-care leave; direct financial stimulation, e.g. child allowances and maternity capital; and child care facilities are the most popular measures. This paper analyzes child-care leave and maternity capital and provides recommendations for Belarus.
