Webinar “How to manage public debt and sovereign rating during the pandemic in Belarus”

On June 25, BEROC, together with the Center for New Ideas, arranged the second meeting within a series of expert online discussions about regional and global changes in the economy.

The speakers of the event – Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Belkavets and Associate Director of Standard & Poor’s Maxim Rybnikov – talked about public debt, sovereign ratings, and the impact of coronavirus. They discussed the most important factors in managing public debt, how Belarus can improve its credit rating, and when we can place borrowings in national currency.
