Belarusian Economic Research and Outreach Center BEROC organized a two class series “Corporate Financial Policy: the Optimal Composition of Debt and Equity Financing” by Elena Loutskina, PhD (University of Virginia), that took place at IBB on August 8, 2014.
A two class series offered the participants an immersion into one of the core topics of corporate finance: financial policy. Should a company finance its operations with debt or equity? How much debt is ideal for a company financing?
The participants got answers to these and other questions related to tradeoffs between debt and equity financing through a case discussion.
The class participants took an active role in discussion of the topic: provided their solution, asked questions, offered their intuition behind the discussed concepts, answered their colleague questions.
