Report from the event
The Conference was an important step towards integration of the Belarusian economic community into the global economic environment. The Conference served as a meeting place for Belarusian experts who left and those who stayed in Belarus. The Conference included plenary session and panel discussions on various aspects of modern economic science.
The Conference was organized by Mikhail Golosov (Princeton), Yuri Tserlukevich (Arizona State University), and Igor Livshits (Western Ontario).
The keynote speaker of the Conference was Professor Rajnish Mehra. Dr. Mehra is a co-author, with Edward C. Prescott, of one of the most cited papers in financial economics “The Equity Premium: A Puzzle”.
The Conference was arranged with the financial support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
