Economy Monitor

One of BEROC’s flagship research projects is the Monitoring of the Economy of Belarus. It includes 7 types of analytical reports on current trends in the Belarusian economy. Two of these products are based on sociological surveys that examine the behavior and sentiments of enterprises and households. We also review macroeconomic trends, the situation on the financial market, inflation and other factors that affect the current state of the economy and its prospects.

Monitoring of the Economy of Belarus was launched at the end of 2020, when the Belarusian authorities began to hide data on the most important and sensitive issues affecting the economic and social life of people. The studies we create as part of the Monitoring help economic agents navigate the current situation in the absence of official data. In 2022 alone, BEROC published 23 reports as part of the Monitoring of the Economy of Belarus project.

About the project

In December 2021, BEROC launched a new project, Monitoring the Economy of Belarus. It consists of a series of reports, the purpose of which is to explore and make available information about the main trends in the economy, behavior and expectations of businesses and the public. We hope that this project will help reduce the polarization of the information field and allow economic entities at different levels to make more informed and balanced decisions.
